PFI Awards 2021: Nesma Water & Energy Wins a PFI award 2021
Nesma Water & Energy recent PPP project in Yanbu won (Deal of the year) categorized award of the PFI awards 2021.
$880m Yanbu-4 IWP, procured by the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), is a first-of-a-kind seawater reverse-osmosis plant utilizing clean energy. The project was awarded PFI Magazine ‘PPP Deal of the Year’ in the Middle East & Africa region. The plant will have a capacity of 450,000m3/day and storage facilities with a capacity equivalent to two days. The project, co-developed by Nesma Water & Energy, Engie and Mowah, achieved financial close in March 2021 and is expected to be fully operational in the last quarter of 2023.
